Redacted Roots Series: The Absence is the Evidence speaks to the generational histories that have been distorted, omitted, or deliberately replaced with false narratives. The work is rooted in the understanding that absence itself becomes evidence — a visual and emotional record of what was taken or suppressed. Like a missing puzzle piece, the truth still lingers. We feel it, we know it’s there, and through this series, I’m confronting that silence and giving form to what was never meant to be forgotten.
